Dorothy is a bored, young girl from the country who dreams of living in a big city. When a tornado carries her away to the magical land of Oz, it looks like her dreams may have come true. She sets off on a journey to visit the Emerald City and the Wizard who lives there. Along the way, Dorothy meets new friends, battles a witch and learns a valuable lesson about the importance of family.

主人公のドロシーは都会に憧れる少女である。ある日、竜巻に家ごと巻き込まれて、不思議なオズ王国へと飛ばされてしまう。田舎に暮らすことに飽きたドロシーにとっては、夢のような出来事であった。「オズの魔法使い」と会うためにエメラルドの都へ旅立つ。新しい仲間たちと一緒に魔女と戦ったりして、家族の大切さを知る。
